Northeast Houston
Northeast Houston is an area in the northeastern portion of Houston, Texas. It is known for its vibrant neighborhoods, parks and recreation centers, business hubs, and much more.
History
The area has a rich history of traditional Mexican-American culture. It was where many immigrants to the city settled when it was founded in 1836. Since then, the population has grown significantly and now includes people from all walks of life representing numerous ethnicities. Northeast Houston has become increasingly diverse in recent years as new residents bring their unique cultures into the area.
Geography
The geography of Northeast Houston consists mostly of flat land with meadows and small hills in some areas. The climate is mild throughout the year, with hot and humid summers. The Houston Ship Canal borders the area to the north, Eastex Freeway to the south, Beltway 8 to the west, and Greens Bayou to the east.

Northeast Houston has many things to do for residents and visitors alike. These include:
- The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. An annual event draws thousands of people across the country to experience the rodeo and carnival atmosphere.
